Project Description:
An increase in student numbers at the Faculty of Engineering Stellenbosch University in the last couple of years led to an increase in a demand for study space at the Engineering Faculty Campus, for the exclusive use by engineering students. It therefore became necessary to refurbish and upgrade a section on ground level under the General engineering Building that was previously used as parking, into a new Student Study Centre. The Student Centre is open to engineering students 24hrs a day 7 days a week, with secure access.
The second part of this project was a request from the Faculty of Engineering to upgrade the existing small tuck shop in to a fully fledged deli and coffee shop that would be able to serve the students healthy affordable meals and refreshments during the day and until 11pm at night.
