Project Overview:
A masterplan for the existing SU Library was developed that identified the upgrade and refurbishment of certain areas in the building. The entire existing library was built underground and exist on two levels. The objectives of the masterplan was as follows:
• Provide study space for students
• Enlarge the internal space if the library
• Utilize the roof area to generate sustainable energy
The establishment of the new Learning Commons was identified as part of the upgrade of certain areas in the underground building, and was developed for the exclusive use of undergraduate students.
